Homework
Your child will be given the opportunity to practice and apply skills learned during independent work and writing time. If this work is not completed by the end of the school day, your child will bring it home so it can be completed. Please give him/her time to complete the work and return it to school the following day. Occasionally, homework that needs to be done independently will be given. Generally, homework is due the following day. The students will bring home their iPads with an Assignment Page showing assignments and things done in class. Please check that these things are completed, talk to your chld about what they did in school and return homework, and please make sure the iPad is returned to school each day fully charged.
Reading Slips – To help you keep in touch with your child’s reading progress, reading slips may be sent home periodically. Oral reading helps with fluency and comprehension. Please have your child orally read the pages or book listed on the slip to you, sign the slip and return it to school the next day. Please show your interest by checking school bags, daily Home Folders and their iPads DAILY!!
